Terms of Service

Last updated: August 2026

Leylines is currently in an open beta. These terms apply now, and we may update them as the product develops and will post changes here.

1. Acceptance of these terms

These terms govern your use of the Leylines website, account services, and connectivity services operated by Cybermoon LLC. Use of the Leylines plugin itself is additionally governed by the End User License Agreement. These Terms are a binding agreement between you and Cybermoon LLC, a Colorado limited liability company. By using Leylines you confirm you are at least 16 and able to enter this agreement, and if you accept on behalf of an organization, that you are authorized to do so.

2. The service

Leylines is an asynchronous audio-collaboration plugin with supporting online services: license activation, session pairing, optional relay connectivity, and an optional cloud-sync tier. During the beta, Leylines and these services are provided to beta participants at no charge. Services are described as offered at the time of purchase and may evolve.

3. Accounts

Joining a session and listening require no account. You can paste a code or a link, hear everyone, and set your own levels without signing in to anything.

Sending your own mix requires an account. You sign in inside the plugin with your email address, which is how your beta invite or your purchase reaches you, and the same account gets you into the account dashboard. The free relay that keeps sessions connected on difficult networks comes with a license, so it goes with the account too. You are responsible for the security of your email account.

4. Purchases & refunds

Leylines is free of charge during the beta, and there is nothing to buy on this site while it runs. This section governs purchases of the plugin, including purchases already made.

Plugin licenses are one-time perpetual purchases. Refunds are handled per the Refund Policy (14 days). Payments are processed by Paddle, our reseller of record, which calculates and collects any applicable taxes at checkout.

5. Acceptable use

When using Leylines you agree to the following:

  • No illegal use of the services.
  • No infringing, malicious, or unlawful content in sessions or the forum.
  • No reverse engineering except as permitted by law.
  • No attempts to breach security, evade license limits, or disrupt the service.
  • No harassment or abuse of other users.

6. Your content

Your audio stays yours. Recording it, sending it, or storing it through Leylines gives us no ownership of it and no right to use it for anything of our own. We will not sell it, license it to anyone else, or use it to promote Leylines.

What you do give us is narrow permission to handle your audio so the service can work: to store your cloud chunks and to pass them to the collaborators you are working with. That is the whole of it. Think of it as permission to carry something for you, not a share in what you made.

That permission lasts while you are using the service it belongs to. When we delete your data, whether because you asked us to or because you deleted your account, the permission goes with it.

7. Intellectual property

Leylines, the Cybermoon mark, and the services are owned by Cybermoon LLC. All rights reserved. Third-party open-source components are credited in the product and on this site.

8. Termination

You may stop using the services at any time. We may suspend or terminate service access for material breach of these terms. Termination of services does not by itself revoke a validly purchased perpetual plugin license (see the EULA). Provisions that by their nature should survive termination (including ownership, disclaimers, limitation of liability, and governing law) survive.

9. Disclaimers

Leylines is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

10. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Cybermoon LLC will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, and our total liability for any claim will not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim.

11. Governing law & disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Colorado, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Colorado, and you consent to their jurisdiction.

12. Changes to these terms

We will post changes here and update the "Last updated" date; material changes will be notified by email where required.
